Main research fields: Engaging the study of Mesozoic vertebrate fossils and their related stratigraphy. He is currently or has been responsible for national geological survey projects/3 level-2 projects, working projects/6 sub projects, 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China; he has participated as the backbone member in 10 national and provincial projects. He has published more than 90 papers, of which 5 ones are published on Nature or Science (1 as the first author).
